Preston
Preston is the gateway station for the Fylde Coast. It stands just outside the area we normally cover, about eleven miles east of Kirkham, and it is where the Fylde's trains join the main line — almost every long-distance journey to or from Blackpool, Lytham or Fleetwood passes through here. The board below is live: it shows the next trains to leave, the platform they go from, and whether the railway expects them on time. It switches to arrivals too, for anyone meeting somebody off a train.
